A new and exciting website was launched in Rochester High Street on Wednesday 7th September, promoting the bounteous joys of the beautiful and historic City of Rochester. The website can be found on cometorochester.co.uk
or www.city-of-rochester.co.uk or, simply by entering the word, Rochester, in the UK search engine.
The web site was launched in the Dot Café and Café Verde by its creators, who are members of the Rochester Association of Businesses.
Ward Councillor, Sue Haydock, and the President of the City of Rochester Society, Bob Ratcliffe, attended the launch in Café Verde, whilst Simon Curtis, Head of tourism for Madway Council, presided over the launch at Dot Café.
This exciting initiative is aimed at increasing tourism and shopping in the City, by raising general awareness of the wide range of attractions and services on offer.
Sue Haydock said, " I am always pleased to support positive initiatives that foster the economy of our wonderful city."
Simon Curtis remarked, "this is a first class web site and we are delighted to support it. Rochester is one of England‚s most beautiful and historic visitor destinations and the new web site will help to spread the message."
Bob Ratcliffe stated, " I congratulate the High Street Business Association in this new portrayal of rochester‚s many attractions and retail opportunities."
Keith Plowman, Chairman of the RAB website group said, " Rochester is a beautiful City in which to visit, shop , live and play,. Unfortunately, not enough people are aware of the huge range of services and attractions on offer here. We are determined to raise the public awareness and improve the economy of the High Street through the Rochester Association of Businesses, by working with all the stakeholders here. This is only the start of a strategic campaign. We are very proud of the quality web site launched today.
